I remember seeing at least one of those screenshots - the siege of Wales one - on the official site but it lacked the radar map on the bottom of the screen.

I am a little saddened that that Constantinople is not there to defend or sack depending on whether the Latins have retained or lost the city. It was along with the neighbouring city of Genoese Pera something of a centre of trade in the east. Given that the game starts in 750 and the point at which the map ends a number of cities that would be Byzantine or Bulgarian held cities lack their political and religious focus. Also a state that could potentially constrain any players - in spite of the threat posed by the Bulgars iconoclasm - with an eastern kingdom would be severely truncated. But given what this game is trying to do it would be churlish to complain.

But mention of Constantinople does bring up one point. Will cities like Venice have especial abilities with regard to trade or at least have a high throughput of trade?
