"..The graphics, unfortunately are only 2D.."
"..Knights of Honor may not be the strongest graphically.."

Pfff...I always preferred the 2d / isometric strategical games.
3d might offer a deeper strategic value, but that is not sure at all, its all depends on the 2d - 3d engine.
Also the KoH gfx is beautiful if you ask me.

Don't know why they are using old screenshots though:confused:

Hopefully IGN will have more info?:)

I think if the reviewer used the screenshots from Gamespot the 3D thing wouldn't be such an issue.:D

It seemed like that writer wasn't really sold on Koh.

What did he call it? "complicated game of risk?" (I dunno)

I think that this review is quite positive. Also the game graphics are no wonder 3d since this is RTS game. And after all I always preferd 2d games since they look much more detalied than 3d games.
3d graphics are for FPS and similar games, not for RTS like this with isometric view.

Christ....3d has nothing to do with isometric. Isometric is isometric, there is no 3d isometric. :D
3D gfx can be nice as well, check out Spellforce for example.
Still I like the 2d style better. Its funny that the gaming mags dont like the 2d / isometric style anymore.

IMO 3D games just don't look good with isometric view. No one said isometric view has anything to do with 3D or 2D. The fact is 2D games look much more detailed and beautiful than 3D isometric games.

I agree, right now at least, with 3D you just can't match the level of detail and large battles as you can with 2D if you want the game to run on anyones computer. Until they come out with powerful enough computers to do that than 2D is fine with me.

There will allways be people who don't like what you like or do.
Is a constant in life and so no reason to be concerned. Remember the words of don Quijote:

"Ladran Sancho, seņal que cabalgamos."
("They are barking Sancho, a sign that we are riding")
;)

Anyway... I think that reporter isn't a very good one...
Is just my humble English or the statement: "You have final control over all your soldiers... you can however shift their formations on the fly." doesn't make sense? (the however...)

I think the reviewer is a bit mixed up as to what Risk is.

By the way Frujin.
When can we hope to see this?.

"Graphically the opening cinematic is tremendous. "

or this

"To show off the battle scenes, Sunflower showed a number of units launching into a battle."
:)

Another thing to consider is that these reviewers had to preview many games over the past couple of days and crank out a few previews as well.

Frankly, I absolutely dont care, and never cared about previews / reviews.
I always download the demo of the specified game, check it out, and decide MYSELF that it is good or not.
