Need mod recommendation

Hi,

I just got the game and have read that it is too easy to play the default version so I would like to load a mod and start playing with that. I read over the mod list in the mod forum, and would like to ask the community this:

Which mod would you recommend as a good mod to start with? I'm looking for some challenging, historical gameplay. So I'd like a mod that most improves the AI actions and presents a good challenge.

When you're primarily looking into an increased challange you might want to get your hands on Laudan's Mod "Hard". Nomen est omen, the ancient romans said. :smile:

Well, I'd also recommend that one... sure it's harder than the original game, but that is the point really, isn't it? :P

first try to play vanila- normal version on hardest level, and when you find it too easy go on mods, ....
therefore you will have already some routine with game...
