Since i am a muslim let me tell you why arabs married 4 womens.
During the fights between muslims and ( arabs who didnt like muslims ) many muslim mans died and left their children and women without a husband to protect them and since muslims were oprecced like christians during roman era. To bring them into security all of the muslims were allowed to marry up to 4 i think women.

poligamy is horrid. I do not think they'll let you marry more than one lady unless she dies... or maybe is ex-communicated. "Wife not putting out? have the cardinal excommunicate her!" (sorry, bad joke... but it did happen! look at Henry II and Eleanor, he threw her in jail and bedded the future wife of his son! gah!)

back then... the "marriages" were more political agreements.

yes it became a custom later on the Harem was only for the sultan himself, where he had collections from all over the world :silly:.

yeah, it was a silly little "story comment." heh.

I don't think it is possible for them to implement 10-15 "wives" for Arabic kings. It would take a rather big change in the "graphics" and "diplomacy" as well as "coding" sections of the game to do so.
