I'm somewhat amazed about the AI use of tactics in battle. In every battle I've fought, I've had to "refuse" (bend) my line to avoid AI attempts at flanking! I've moved troops further left / right, only to have the AI also try and move around my line to enfilade! :cheers:

I've heard about "fortified camps", what are they? is there a special way to do this?

I found the tactical AI to be pretty weak.

But I suggest not to use too many hints from the forums. Discover the game yourself. Once you figured out everything the game is much less of a challenge. Enjoy the time.
If you're looking for new challenges, come back and see what the modders have to offer.
