I tried a proper game with the Bohemians first(after all, the Bulgarians arent available while the Czechs can then be a better substitute than the Scotts). At the beginning I noticed that money are a real scarce but,at the same time, nobody really bothers to attack. I, therefore, sacked my general which saves me 10 gold per turn(he really isnt needed at the beginning). Also I noticed that I pay tribute to the Germans and thought that they will attack me if I stop it but I did it anyway(ok,ok...Im a bit greedy but I wanted decend buildings) and nothing happend. I mean the Germans do occasionally cross ur borders but they do it to attack Poland or Hungary. After that,it kinda gets easy...the more civil/economics buildings you make, the more gold you manage to generate and the more money I had to develop defences/weapons etc.

Btw,I good thing might be to build millitary buildings in one town and not to bother to make it in the other one(unless its too far). I mean you only get certain number of slots where to build so if you,lets say, build spearman in one city, you can produce them there so you can build another building in the other city.Its really hard to choose what to build since there are many,many buildings although my German isnt so fluent to know what each one of them.

Anyway, the game really IS worth playing and I look forward to its release

Just got a new tactic:
Play Scotland, make alliances with England and Wales (Germany, maybe, too, and france, they both are mighty.) and then declare war on Ireland and then tell your allies to attack them ;)

My only fear is by the the time that we get the demo the germans will be much better than us...:D

hmm i played the game with Scotland invaded Londen:D then after an hour it said something and i was victorius we can play only hour long?

The demo ends whenever you own more than 6 provinces. So choose wisely and just conquer those with a high population and hopefully some cool units.
Armies build up from Feudal Knights, light Cavalry and mounted archers are cool.

With the single player level, I just w8ed for the enemy, holding my cavalry at the flanks, and when they came, i crushed in. My marshall was w8ing and at the end of the battle he charged.

Noldy: Be cautious about those mounted archers. They can be quite nasty if your cavalry is bound in a fight and suddenly the hell rains down upon them.
You can reverse this tactic. Move your peasants to the front, let the enemy engage them. Then (when the enemy troops are fighting/unable to react) flank them and crush the archers/what ever moves.
