I've tried the German Beta and I think that the construction time in the city is too slow, don't you think so?
I think you should make it faster. :go:

A builder speeds up construction times. Also you should try to get more workers by upgrading your town. So just build everything that produces food, gives you workers and does anything economy-related. After a while your town is so big that it could build a pyramid during the evening-brake :go: .
You can also speed up building by using the little Lightning-symbol right of the progress bar. That costs a hell lot of money but, hey! It's the only way to speed it up :D .

Where should that be?

"right of the progress bar". See above.
The progress bar is at the bottom of the construction-menu.

Yeah, castles could take more than 50 years!

Yeah, I like it. Better than in Stronghold where every building was built in half a second ;)

Assign a builder as governor and build buildings which grant your workers e.g Inn, Hostel etc., this will improve the building times. Also educate your builder.

How do I educate my builder?

You need 1000 books. Then you can select the builder and click the little book-icon (second from the right). Then he gains one level at the cost of 1000 books.
In the demo you can only gain book by building a church ("Kirche"). In the final game you will also have the possibility of building universities, libraries and let your clerics produce books.

I would like the ability, to hurry a construction, with an extra money burn.

Frank, is there any way possible that a future patch might lower the number of books it takes to "edumacate" a knight. 1000 seems a bit steep at the beginning.... what about a transitional leveling.. IE. 200 books for lvl 1, 600 for lvl 2, 1000 for lvl 3...

LOL, indeed I agree, there should be more benefit in smaller amounts of books, but yield a lesser bonus.

I think the start build tims is waaaaayyyyy too slow, even with a biuild knight assigned, in the end you are just too buisy managing every city, because the big cities just builds too fast. I would like to que buildings, because I can't imagine a capital city only building 1 building at a time, though there are more than 50k inhabitans.

Well it was a joke (the book thing). Noone gets that deep into the reality in the games.
They just monitor some sort of education.

The less than 1k books maybe good, but we have not seen the cleric, univerisity, schools and other bonuses that gives books as well.

The books are more needed as bigger you are. Build some Churches and you see how fast they are filled up.
