Increase screen resolution - poll

Hi there,

I guess many players post questions about letting the player increase the screen resolution. Now it's a standard 1024x768, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to change it to 1280x1024 ?

I'm wondering why you can select 240hz refresh rate!
who has that kind of monitor? does it even exist?

i think the fixed resolution is due to the 2d graphics.
changing the resolution would require some additional art for the interface at least. not to mention the fact that in multiplayer combat the players with the higher resolution would have an advantage because of the larger view, which is not good.

sure there are monitor for graphic workstations that can achieve such high absolute flickerfree resolutions but they are really expansive ;)
