Turning off sounds

Hello all,

How does one completely turn off the sounds in the game? When I go into the Preferences and uncheck Music and SoundFX/Voices, I still hear birds. I hate birds. :p

I really don't want to turn my speakers down or off as I like to listen to the news or music as I play but I hear those darn birds along with whatever is playing on WinAmp.

Any suggestions?

from the start menu you can configure to turn off sounds, didnt try it, but maybe its therefore.

Do you mean the Start menu on the desktop? If so, I really should have mentioned I'm playing the demo at the moment until I receive the full version in the mail, which will hopefully be this week. Sorry about the confusion. :silly:
