hey guys love the game but i was wandering about the towns improvements i have 18 boxes to fill up and then no more improvement possible ???

is it a glitch or the game is made that way ,when you play medieval total war you click on the arrow and get more boxes to improve your towns? so is it a problem or the game was made that way (which is not good if it is) or just my copy.

btw more marshalls in the game would be a good thing too.

thx

Yep theres only 18 building slots. It is the way it is b/c it adds more stragety to the game. Yes more marshalls would be nice but you can't be too greedy

this limitation is an unique feature of KoH to "force" the user to think twice about his decisions ;)
as largefly said to get more stragety

The 18 townslots you have is quite high already i think.

Just make your towns towards a certain goal. Make money towns, troop recruiting centres ect.

The nine slots for the knights may seem few, but you can influence the need for certain knights with buildings and garrisons. IE you'll want many merchants when you start out but later on when your towns start producing more money you can cut back on some of the merchants and thus use some more marshals. If needed you can have 9 marshal out there with armies, albeit it will need a big/well developed economy in gold, books and piety to support that. If you can't conquer/hold off your enemies with nine marshal, its time for some diplomacy! :D

Try not to fight (to many) multiple front battles. Use diplomacy to pick your fights.

IMO its a good thing its limited since it forces you to take decisions. And taking decisions is where strategy is all about :)

I still think there must be more slots for updating!!

What is the sense to se computer more stronger than the player!!

It is boring when you can not have more knights and can not update your available resources.

If there are resources to update than there must be slots as well!!

Or is it half made game??????

It is no prob to specialize your towns.
I´ve played several games now and i had all tradegoods and exotic goods before i reached 30 Provs. Only if rare ressources and special powerful units are in the same town, the 18 slots are not enough, but usually all strong units (i.e. Templar and teutonoc knights) are buildable in several towns.
I fortify my towns to the max and have only 5 or 6 places to build military units, all other towns are for goods and special buildings (cathedral, university etc.)

this is a STRATEGY game
if joo want a "porn" game
where joo dont have to think
but just to win and feel allmighty
use cheats
its easy enough (too easy i would say)
to make it more simple
the total war series are not bad
but are too mainstream and comercial
comerce kills every good idea
thats why i play KoH not RTW

tip: joo can destroy the buildings joo dont need any more

Yes, this game is not too hard, in fact, most of us want the game to be made harder, and are expecting a great update with the patch at the end of November.

As far as town management goes, later in the game you'll have more money to re-organize and forcebuild higher level structures faster. Space for everything inside the city limits is, naturally, a problem. It's the way the game is designed and yes, it does make players think about what they're putting in their town when the time comes to develop a city.

I found that more often than not, the "border" cities were the ones where the military structures were, and as more province features became available in less contested territory, that was where I centralized the buildings that produced trade goods.

Rule of thumb, you should at least leave a couple of spaces for Docks and Admiralty in cities with fish as a province feature. Use political view to keep track of everything and tally up what resources you have, and what resources you have to gain. Keep in mind that reorganization will happen as the game goes on, and plan accordingly.

God forbid we'd ever have to use strategy in a strategy game. :silly:

THIS IS A STRATEGY GAME????

This is a bloody poor game!!

Where;

- You can not skip intro ****s!!
- You can not develop the towns!!
- You can not have enough knights, landlords etc.
- 1024x768 Res!!!! (AGE OF EMPIRES CAN DO BETTER)

I simply do not understand you peoples!!!

I paid money for having fun not for playing with rules of programmers!!
If I would need that I would play TETRIS!!

I hate to use cheats in game for winning it!

All I am expecting from the game;

- Not to cheat it
- To use my own skills for winning and for that I like to have every bloody resource and update available!

If I need 15 knights instead of 9 I want to have them!!
If I like to have the best town protection and armies I want to have them!

USING 15-50 knights, controlling and handling them in different attacks is more CHALLENGE than having 9!!

Controlling big armies is more than CHALLENGE!!

If someone is still is happy with 9 knights and poor resources can go and buy AGE OF EMPIRES!!

1. You can skip the intros. Press Ctrl + LeftMouseButton.
2. You can, just click an empty slot and select the building you want to construct.
3. I always have enough. Just click an empty slot and hire a new knight. What's the problem?
4. That way all players have the same field of view. I guess the devs decided to make it this way to make the game fair.
5. I didn't cheat in the game and I nevertheless won multiple times.
6. It were my skills in diplomacy, economy and strategy that won the game.
7. Rushing the enemy with endless big armies is too easy. I usually conquer with one single army.
8. I own Age of Empires and I was quite disappointed. It's just another type of game...
