Popes and Patriarchs

Two fast questians.
1.Do you get independent church when you conquer Constantinopole even without a Patriarch ?
2.If you are catholic kingdom and conquer Rome can you elect Popes by yourself ?

2. No, if Rome is not under Papcy rule there will be no pope. If you liberate Rome you can give the prov. up and create Papcy again(if it has been wiped out). Your relationship will be extramently good with Papcy and will improve with all the other chatloic nations. A new pope will be elected. If your cleric is educated and you are a major europeon power, he will problly be elected as pope. But if you liberate Rome and deny the creation of Papcy, your relations with chathlic nations will drop.

1. if u take constantinople its patriarch still rules and u need tto create your own independent church by edukating cleric ot level 5 and so on ...

he is something like pope but for the orxhodox religion and rules only his nation except the byzantian patriacrh who is usualy the ultimate religion leader in east europe.

I know what hi do in real life but i wonder what devs thinking when add him in the game.This guy do only problems when die and i forgot to teach new one.No extrra bonus like instant convert, even hi failure to convert some time.Give him skills like instant recall(i hate to wait this guys return before theirs new appointment), or 100% chance to convert province.

well when you promote him as patriarch you will have to fight with byzantia. if you have any relation with byzantia this war wont decrease your kingdom power ...

ones englad conquered almost all of west europe but typically none of the AI is expanding that much...

The most I have seen the AI expand to is 12 provinces.

Yeah.. having an independant orthodoxal church is totally useless. I'd like to see some changes in this in the patch. There's no point of declaring indipendancy at all.

anybody see AI to bild empire(15-20 province)?
maximum was not over 16 I guess, but it lasted for very short time... but I must confess that I didn't play hard level yet...
