I started in the early age. Started with York, but I've captured all of England apart from Scotland, Wales & Ireland. But England will not unite?

Yes it will - don't know what it takes exactly but it will. Yesterday I united Russia.

I haven't united England, yet. But I would guess that you need Normandy to do so.

it shuold be fixed in patch. Cause now it's posible only for Normandy, what's a little strange IMO. At least Wessex(from where England was united before Norman conquest), but also maybe other english states like York and Anglia

I agree. Uniting England should be posibble with other kingdoms as well. Namely York, Mercia, Anglia and Wessex...not only Normandy.

As mentioned England was already united under Saxon king Harold Godwinsson when William the Conqueror of Normandy invaded and took the land.

okey, since these forums are quite DEAD ill answer that meself!
defs/quests/unite_"kingdom".ini is the one to change! in here u can set the kingdom you need to unite! that way I can play as York and be able to unite Russia!

yes Ive united Scotland I started as Highlands and captured the town south of me (frogot the name) and it asked me if I wanted to be name Scotland or just keep my name.

If you want to unite a country look one period ahead and see what providences it has and unite them and see if that works?

you cannot reunite Russia when playing for Highlands. I guess.

As I was unable o unite Byzantia with Armenia (having all byzantine lands)

Ah, that explains why England did not united for me. I played as Leinster and formed Ireland. :)
