Hostages as a part of peace treaties were frequently offered during the medieval period. (similar to a wedding proposal)
Would this function be included in the game? It will introduce a lot of choices of personality to players.
e.g. Treaty is broken, do you
1. vanquish the adult hostages, hence increase your dread rating but may make your next peace treaty more difficult to settle
2. vanquish all hostages including kids (Something King Stephen didn't do to William Marshall), which will increase your dread rating dramatically but decrease your diplomatic standing and influence to all allies. a decrease in piety as well?
3. just leave things as it is. (may cause you rebel baron to be more fearless in their attacks)
4. let them go = your king becomes the laughing stock of all other nations.
what do you guys think?
Similarly, would a marriage portion be an option in diplomacy? I think this is relatively easily done. i.e. when the marriage happens, a realm will be given to the father of the groom? :bday:
