Online Multiplayer should be same as singleplayer mode

hello all!

Why cant KOH mp be played the same as KOH sp?
For example when I link up with my mates we should be able to choose a country and the rest "non chosen countries" should remain the same AI like in sp mode. Is this going to be possible in the future?
