Hi. I'm was wondering if anyone could answer the following question:
If I install the patch will I still be able to play my saved games or will I have to start from scratch? thanks

Hi, welcome here. I would really like to answer you, but I have installed the patch long time ago and I don't remember how it was. :(

So, my advice: Install the patch and try it. If it doesn't work, uninstall the patch and go on with your previous game...
Unfortunatelly nothing better can I tell you :(

the most clever thing would be to start all over. Errors may occur if u take on a saved game from a diff. patch.. I ve tried it, and sometimes it goes perfectly well, other times it all mess up.. (crashes and freezes etc)

I agree. You should install patch and start from the very begining :-)

Can answer your question.

No its not advisable to play saved games after installing the patch.

There are many changes made, and the advise I had was you have to get rid of all saved games, before installing new patch.
