i was doing very well in the game, until when i decide to attack one of papacy's province, and then all of a sudden my ally turn against me, neutrals declare war, and my enemy hate me even more, so basically everyone starts to attack me non-stop, and then i lost
so stupid, why does this happen to me :angry:

Papcy is as you know is the leader of the Church. Since most nations are Catholic they will defend the Church. Even if they have an allinece pact signed.

Yes, you have been pwn3d by catholic church.
If your empire is big enough try to sign a white peace with them just a moment after they declare war on you.

I had the same situation but I used it to practise my marchals in battle :-)... If You feel strong enough You can use it... just be wise !!!
