On many pictures of "Knights of Honor" I CANT FIND TOWERS , GATES WITH ROOF AND SQUARE TOWERS why??
Of course that both towers have merits and defects... On first tower you can put troops and machines like catapult but they are more exposed for arrows etc. On second tower yours troops are more save than on first but the range of arrows is lot more short
than on tower with out roof , any way castle with both type of towers looks just more better...
Also square with roof and with out it... For better understand check thise picture (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/screenshots/bild_gr_28.jpg) , this (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/screenshots/bild_gr_36.jpg) ,this (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/screenshots/bild_gr_35.jpg) , this (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/wallpapers/w-05_1024.jpg) and this (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2002/pcnews/101602/robinhood/robinhood_screen004.jpg). Those pictures come from "Robin Hood: The Legend Of Sherwood" and as you can see there is many type of towers , but on screenshoots from "KoH" i see only one kind of towers...

Now, these pics are REALLY nicely drawn I'll also agree with you about the towers.

In midieval times when a castle was prepared for war they would build a wooden structure outside on the wall - you can see how it was done in the movie Braveheart when they were attacking the city of York - even today when you look carefully at an old castle wall you can some time see the holes where they would have put in the wood beams so they could construct this platform.

btw, don't so these pics to Bora !!!!!! - especially not those where it is winter *teasing* :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yea i saw "Braveheart" is realy good movie...
Any way upon those towers i was looking for more info. and screens on another games (like "Stronghlod" and "Knights of Honor") but is look like dev people forget about such towers (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/screenshots/bild_gr_28.jpg). I hope that devs from "Knights of Honor" will not forget about it (Frank remind them about this :D ) . Any way check this out : picture (http://i.gry.wp.pl/g/galerie/_scr/_r/5667/5667_20_3.jpg) , picture 2 (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/screenshots/bild_gr_2.jpg) , picture 3 (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/screenshots/bild_gr_20.jpg) , picture 4 (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/wallpapers/w-07_1280.jpg) - this is marvellous , picture 5 (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/wallpapers/w-09_1280.jpg) and last one (http://www.robinhood-game.de/stuff/wallpapers/w-01_1024.jpg).

Plz stop expecting Knights of Honor to be similar to other games, or comparing them. This is a different game. This will have different towers Round or square. I doubt they will have roof. From what we know you can't have soldiers inside towers so having a roof would sort of be inside. :)

Check http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/knightsofhonor/index.html they have alot more screenshots.;)

Thats fine, but don't expect them to put it in, or expect this game to be similiar to other games. I am sure they will change sertain things if the entire community agrees with it.

Oh yea and nothing to worry about they said they will give us someting this comming next year. I hope a trailor or new musics.

Putting different kinds of gates would be good for the gameplay and you then also get a larger diversity of castles in your gameworld.

Now, we could start a discussion on this matter, but I think that this thread would be closed if we did ;)
