how come each marshal only has 6 siege slots and 9 infantry/cavalry slots/

is there a way to increase the # of units under a marshal? how do you do it? thx

No, one single marshall can not command more than 9 squads and 4 siegecrafts.
However, you are free to lead more than one marshall into the enemy lands :viking: .

Note, too, that number of units does not equal the number of individual men. For example, peasants, while very crappy as soldiers, are 40 men strong, while Men-At-Arms, who are armoured and good in combat, have only 30 strong soldiers. More doesn't necessarily mean better.

Their moral was problly to low and the army was roblly to weak to take a stronghold like Rome.

You can control two of your own or one of your own and an ally army. But the max is two.
