Anyone noticed Horse speed and peasant speed is about the same? I had my horsemen run all over the board trying to chase down Peasants and they run just as fast as the horse unit.

In your Home made modes can you change the speed on the horse units on the battlefield? To me when a peasant on foot can outrun or keep ahead of horse unit, something is wrong.

it is possible to be edited in mods.
In fact peasants running are as fast as "walking" horses. If horses "run"/gallop, they are twice faster than peasants. also peasants can't keep always running...
