Hi,

i found an preview of KoH on this page:

the writer has a good opinion about the game, but he says the graphik is not the newest. i think its good, cause that makes possible that you can play the game als on "slower" PCs
awsome graphik often means faster pc.
example: who was able to play the sims properly on his Pentium2 will have a problem to run the sims 2, cause the graphik needs a lot of resource.
and i also think that knights of honor doesnt need a 3d-engine
(a sugestion that also goes to all 3d adventure games,... hate 3d adventures)

Yeah, babelfish kinda ****s, but atleast it's better than nothing. A computer can never translate like real person. (Not yet atleast)

I don't understand what is wrong with people. The graphics in this game are beautiful from the screenshots I've seen. So many old 2D games, like AOE, AOK, are stunning in the detail and colouring they can achieve. Its almost like a painting on screen. What are they expecting, another 3D piece of crap like WarCraft 3 or C&C Generals? Those games looked horrible. This one doesn't.

It was not against 2D graphics. I like it more then some f**king 3D. Open translated version of that previwe and try to zoom screenshots there. That was my problem!

well its soo that the mainstream wants 3d (even in adventure games) that why they say/write such things.

yes mainstreams wants it but its nice to see developers and people (reviewers) who appreciate art for what it is.

I also have to admit that i'm a ****er for 3D graphic ! but using 2D can probably give a more detailed gameworld + the advantages that the game will run on lesser powerful computers which again gives the game a larger number of potential customers.

The AI is going to take a whole lot of CPU-time.
So why should my computer think about polygons when there are more important tasks like AI to do?

truely there are games, where is no need 4 3d and they get sold anyway.
like the yu-gi-oh! the game works pretts fine on "old" pentium2 and only needs a few MB of HD and RAM
so, i think some games can and could be good even if they are only in 2d.
i have a P4 with 500 1/2 gig of ram and a gforce 4600 TI AGP
(spend 400 EURO 4 the damn card!)
and if i read in the game magazins what comming ames require to work properly, thei get shocked!
i habe bought myself the game "spellforce" and i can tell you, with my pc the game dont work well in the highest grafik settings.
according to the gamesmagazin "gamestar" computers like min will be "old" at the end of 2004.
so i am glad that some new games like KoH are made in good old 2d
