Killed the pope .. how to call for crusade

I have killed the papacy and now want to call for crusade against other kingdoms.. how can I do that?

1. All crusades are called by the pope.
2. In your game there is no pope.
So no, no crusades without pope.

ur cleric might be called as the next pope and then ull be able to call crusades. Or ur spy becomes the pope and then he'll call crusades

Even if your spy is pope, you can only call crusades if you are Catholic. I was Muslim with puppet pope and kept wondering why it wouldn't work.

What else can he not do when hes muslim. I tried to get my spy elected pope when play as muslim, but it takes the pope soo long to die! :bash:

Well actually I didn't try to get him as Pope. I just spied on Bohemia (after I had over 1/2 the map the bottom left then to the right and up.) because they were one of my only enemies. Since I had wiped out most of that area they were the biggest non-Papacy non-excommunicated Catholic nation. Luckily, one of my spies was hired as a cleric and then became Pope. I just excommunicated everyone because when you're not Catholic and you're working with a Puppet Pope there's absolutely nothing to lose. hehehe. I just excommunicated half the church people and then he was exiled from Bohemia and I got him back.

In my sig the knight is protecting the angel, kind of what the crusaders wanted to do

So, was he still pope? If you told him to escape from bohemias royal court, would he not be pope anymore? And if hes pope, does he die of old age? Sorry for all the questions but i can't get my spy elected pope. :bash:
