I've got the max number of court peeps, can I ever increase them? I.e. have 10 marshalls, etc???

No, you can not get additional slots for the royal court. What do you need them for? I never have more than two marshalls.

Take them out one after another. Use diplomacy to assure that you don't get involved in a two-front-war and you won't need so many marshalls.

I run no more then 5 marshalls. One to move around and crush rebels. and the other four I march into an area. If the first two start to lose a battel. I withdraw them then quick hit with the fresh units. I never have lost a marshal due to combat And have control of half the map now. Norway ---masters of the world.
