How come members of the roal family age over time and die, but knights can live FOREVER?? do they ever die of age??? wouldn't it be way better if knights age over time also? as roal family members level up in battles, the hard earned skills are wasted when they die, but knights can keep their skills forever since they never die??

You are quite right that should be the case. Because of this I never use members of the royal family as marshals as the skills will be wasted in the long run, they are usually merchants or builders/famers.

why cant they make it so that knights willl age and ask for a retirement after a while...or pass the position to his son..

Maybe because that'll create some problems? Like what if your king died of old age without an heir, and his royal court member, the only one, is about to die too. If I'm not mistaken, only the royal family can get married and only the king can bear children.

Unlike Medieval: Total War, everyone can marry anyone and they will bear children according to when they got married - so if your king dies without an heir and your old married general takes over the throne, he'll already have several heir waiting for him to die.

Well, at least we can be sure that our armies marching for our enemy doesn't suddenly disappear unless he's a spy.
