exotics??

I open with pakman the defs/economy/exotics.in2

I see there that all the exotics are needed admiralty...

I changed the importtime = 12000 to importtime = 1
(I thought that this was the time needed to import the exotics,so i put 1 there)

I save the changes and then I start new game,I build admiralty but nothing is happen...(no sugar,no ivory,no spices,...)
what I am doing wrong??

You have to look at te interface, near the middle. There will be a golden anchor. Click it, and you can import an exotic good. It looks like you get one good per admiralty.

Hey, has anyone noticed if having a good only for the purposes of trade works? Like, if I harvest silver, will it encourage other Kingdoms to accept trade agreements with me?

Yes, I noticed this. The more trade goods you have, the more attractive you are for other countries to trade with you
it also influences your income from trade

Yes, it is, but every trade good increases the money that merchant earn.

hi. When the admirality is built go to the town and below the name of town and province you'll see anchor icon in the right part. Click at it and you'll be able to import exotics then.

you need to have enough admiralities to be able to import all exotics

You can import as much as you want....remember: only one per admirality. Also it's very expensive.

Exotic goods cost money...so if you are importing many exotic goods you'll need a good treasury.
