Can there be concentric castles in the game? And why doesn't the moat show?

the moat gives a defense bonus when you play with the battle simulation view. But indeed, on the map, there's no moat

Concentric castles mean that there are 2 layers of walls surrounding the keep.

But the norhern european castles seem to have 2 layers of walls on the map with they develop fully. Like the one in normandy. And the southern european castles only have 1 wall. In battle mode do they actually show 2 walls?
