King dies, no heirs...marshal becomes King?

I've noticed that when my King dies, and he has no heirs, that my marchalls become King. I thought if your King dies you were supposed to lose? :scratch:

Nope, not at all. You may lose some provinces due to civil war, but you certainly don't lose the game.

Why should you lose if he doesn't die of your fault just because of old age :nono: . there were always plenty of locals to take his place in the olden times and kingdoms were lost only after invasions.
