Repair plundered rural areas

I've had a few villages burnt to the ground. Do they repair ? Does a landlord help ? seemed logical to me but I'm still waiting for the ashes to turn back to a village.

They say "Time heals all wounds" - well, I don't know wether that is true, bit time definitely repairs rural areas. So just wait and after a while it'll be back. :go:
