in two of the three new screenshots i've seen some white dressed men that are moving in the large map.

http://www.knights-of-honor.net//gfx/screenshots/scr_koh_0093.jpg

who are they? probably not knights, because thet haven't a banners. merchants? simply peasants? soldiers? rebels? pilgrims?

thanks for answers!
:D

They are more likely peasants and my guess is also that their "function" is to bring some life to the map that's all.

but i could be wrong

My guess is that they are realm population - peasants colecting products of their zones(I guess every producting zone needs own peasant/serve) into the town.

Maybe, the purpouse is to bring some life into the WV.

I am gessing those a priests. only traders move between towns to collect or bring food. I am just gessing.

I too think that they are mainly decoration.
One of them doesn't represent "worker #283" but "a worker".

Ta-daaaa! Next episode! Yes, guys .. you got it. These are some peasants wandering around to enrich the map. They do not have any gameplay meaning. The "real" population is shown on top of towns as icons. While outlined empty places are missing population. When you train army you take from these and they replenish slowly back to their maximum (which depends on town level, governor skills, etc.)

that's a good idea, but aren't they a bit to big?;)

No?

Considering the scale of the map, you wouldn't be able to see anyone anyway. They look good, there's no problem.

i agree with greywulf.

uhm...

I don't think so.

in my opinion these men cannot be only "decoration", because thet are very large... it isn't a beautiful idea, for me!

i think that they must has a precise sense in the game... but i don't know it!

I don't think it minds so much, but I must agree that they should be a bit smaller. It's impossible to have tham seen in correct size and it's nice to have them in, so. Smallen them a bit and I guess everything will be OK.

I don't mind their size even now

Very large? They're like 5mm tall.

maybe they are 5mm but a tree is 6mm. ;)

Yes I also think they are too big. Should be smaller at least like a village or castle house...

Edit: Tall like a house (in high), not big like a house.

Yepp, smaller and more numerous...

Yep, more numerous.

PD: About the small size: we have zoom to make them bigger.

Intersting! Bravo! No-one complains about army size .. but the vilalgers are too big now

If we make them smaller would be easier for us but:

1) You wouldn't recognize what's actually moving on the screen
2) Armies would "trample" them very oddly (yes, we can make armies smaller too - so you won't see anything than few shaking pixels)

:)

Damn, these are not too much - just a decoration - I play now and it looks fine to me ... not too important, not that you do not see at all. Just something going on :)
