a lot of good questions have already been asked and answered, but there's still one little thing that i'm asking myself...

will i be able to name my own knights and kings? of course i would like to rule Europe using my own name (e.g Sir Jerome :D )
untill now; ive seen screenshots with standard names like Sir edward, prince John, etc..

will this be possible?

I donīt know but think that it isn`t importent, that you can give everything a name you would like because there some history in the game too.

i think its a cool idea, means you might get more personally attached to them.

you probably will get to name yourself and your cities and towns, but i dont thinl you will be able to name your soldiers.....might be too hard to program...maybe..i'm not sure though

It's piece of cake to program that, but the problem is different. Imagine, you named your King after you and after some time he gets killed? Isn't that annoying ;)

hmm...

maybe (re)naming a king or knight should be optional. after all; Lionheart is not a bad name for a king...;)

i dont think its a good idea to name all the soldiers yourself anyway... they're just soldiers; i will be king; who cares about them? :D

Well, naming your own king has it's personal intrigue, but I view standard historical names as being more specific to the period that is being captured.

Anyone thought about a list of names to choose from instead of personalized names?

Maybe having the option to change your knights name would just be good, have them automated by default, but if you want to model the knight up on your self you should simply click a button to change it.

You could name your knight after someone you dont like and then send him on a suicide mission to attack paris with only a archer for company. :D

probably would be just like 1503 in how you name ships...(sorry...i reffering everything to 1503 aren't I)(well it really is the only GOOD game I have...hopefully there will be another to join shortly....ahem!) Where you click on the name and just type something in....

In the game stronghold, they even had names for the cows in the feild and the chickens around the castle, it was a pretty cool feature.

True.... But you could name him after your worst enemy and get him killed on purpose. :dwink:
