Since devs talked about new units, guess what units will be, I think some units should be in the game.
I read people ask about Turcopoles, Sipahs and Lithuanian cavalry, crusader cavalry...
Will be also mercenaries, but I don't know what units will be.

Regional units in the game: Vickings, Normands, Teuton Champions, Highlanders, Cataphracts, Templars, Boyars, Saracens.

What units would you like to have. I would like to have Tuaregs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuareg) and Almogāvers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almogavares).

You've forgot Hobilars and Longbowmen. Or aren't they regional?:confused

What about me, I'd like to see Lithuanian cavalry, Sipahs, Arabian cavalry, Crusader cavalry and maybe more crusader units from various orders.

What about me, I'd like to see Lithuanian cavalry, Sipahs, Arabian cavalry, Crusader cavalry and maybe more crusader units from various orders. There is only hospitalier order left, Bagpipe(as oficial order, covering significant part of europe. There were, of course Livonian order, Swors knights, One special bohemian military order I don't know how to be translated, but definitely influenced by hospitaliers, Cysiacs from Poland etc.) :D
I'm the one who already asked for turcopoles. But guys, remember Frujin's words: no more "western" units, only "arabic" and "eastern".... and as I still hope some "substitute units like sipahs for muslim nations in christian lands and turcopoles for catholic nations in muslim lands.

So my usable wishes: turcopoles, sipahs, arabic/beduin cavalry, turkish cavalry, hassasins and my word for lithuanian cavalry.

and my wishes more for KoH2 or totally useless: make Teutonic champions and Templars mounted, include Hospitaliers (but for what region?: South France, Catalunia/Aragon and Bohemia) as mounted unit also and I would leave a word for some iberian-peninsula reconquistadores and those converted guys: maurisks and mozarabes? correct me if I used bad names for them

my favourite units are in game already: halberdiers, crossbow men and knights.

but i would like to see templars and teutonic knights as mounted units too, supported by "normal" infantry and cavalry. imho the mounted knights were the essence / backbone of these knight orders.

another question: i would like to choose the colour ( :D honour...) of my units - is this possible??? or are the colours referring to the flag / escutcheon???

The colors are always defined by your kingdom. There is no free choice...

nice idea, but there are so many nations in the game, that you also would have to chose the color for the other nations, just in case no color is double. fixed coloros are also good, cause you get used to them and after a short time you are able to identify a nation only by its colors.

i wonder about all the colours - there are many realms!

When using KoH wordpower, it's not realms, but kingdoms I guess (in KoH: realm=a province, kingdom=a state/nation).

I meant "heraldic" colour it doesn't seem to be eith one colour flag, but a flag with some symbol-so heraldic lillies for France :)

Initialy longbowmen were English/Welsh but were also used by France. Like hobilars I see them like a kind of unit.

Cotalonia (Eng), Cataluņa (Esp), Catalunya (Cat).

Social types under the Reconquista:
The Mozarabs: Descendants of Visigothic or Romanic dwellers who did not convert to Islam. Some of them migrated to the North in times of persecution.
The Muladi: Christians who converted to Islam after the invasion.
The Renegade: Christian individuals who embraced Islam and often fight against their former compatriots.
The Mudejar: Muslims dwelling in land conquered by the Christians. They were usually peasants. Their characteristic architecture of adobe bricks was frequently employed in churches commissioned by the new lords. Their descendants after 1492 were called Moriscos

yop, i meant the colour of the units - more precisely their clothes, not the flags - of course it would be awful to have a pink flag as france

for all i know, longbow man were used in aquitaine - so they were english, but from todays french territory.
