Hello,

The starting points were finally decided. And they are:

Early: around 1000 AD.
High: around 1200-1210 AD
Late: around 1350-1360 AD.

In all three periods, the factions, the situation are carefuly chosen, so there are no "dead" factions and all of them are well playable. For some is harder, for some is easier, but all major and not-so-major countries are included. There are no "unplayable" nations or minor factions, or "rebel lands" or "tribes" or something else. Each territory have it's owner and the player can choose to play in ALL Europe.

That really sounds great, now i really feel we're getting somewhere.

It also helps the "researchers" ( Elewyn ) in our community a lot i think ;)

The designers at BSS tried to make three totally different experiences. For instance in the last period are about 40+ Kingdoms you can play with.

You can see that Frujin said around, which means that they looked in a specific period. So if you are fearing that a Kingdom might be not included, because it appeared historically a bit later, the chance is high that it might be included. We will reveal a list of all playable Kingdoms, all Realms and all Towns at a later stage.

Yes, if I'm not wrong, in all three periods we have more than 100 Kingdoms available for the player to choose from.

Doubtin' about Early:scratch: If it starts ~1000 years, does it mean we won't be allowed to play for Frankish empire of Charlemagne?

1000 seems a little late for serious vikings as well. Otherwise it's good that you have the periods set now.

I think this year is more for orientation, Frujin told me somewhere that we should not fear of Franks. For previous years you cannot speak about any states in eastern european regions, so IMO West is little older in early period like in times of Charlemagne and his sons, so about 150years back in time.

I only wonder if there will be one or three Frankish empires (Charlemagne/ Western+Lotharingia+Eastern)

would be funny to fight for Kiev rus against Charlemagne and Kaliph Omar :)

I'll agree Jorghan, coz this leaves us with aprox. 50 years of vikinage, so i would also be happy if they could push the early period a 150 years back to around year 850.....

But I thought the dates don't really matter as there is no year counter. So does it really matter if you push it back 150 years or so for vikings? Once you have them you have them. The length of their reign is up to you at that point.

I too would favor the 150 pushback.
