Oh, but there are so many of them. But let's try to pick out favourites.

I'll start.

I had three Light Calvery units approach my archers. Instead of charging my archers and slaughtering them, they just stood there, about twenty feet away (reletively speaking) and my archers picked them all off. Didn't charge, didn't retreat. They just looked at the archers like they were the Red Shirt characters from Star Trek! "Kill me! Kill me now!"

Okay, you're turn.

Well known - the AI (e.g. rebel) sending all his troops (e.g. Peasants) directly to target your Marshal, leaving his own Marshal exposed to your troops (e.g. Halberdiers or Camels) and making the use of your Marshall as bite a good strategy.

once enemy attacked my army with an all-archer army. I had three squads of crossbowmen so I spread them out and engaged the enemy light archers and horse archers. He was, naturally, in a tight formation, so my crossbowmen easilly shot his men down, while losing only few men.

Or another time I marched in enemy territory, and there I was attacked on a river battle. I was the defender, and easilly won, and enemy retreated. After that, he went attacking me, and instantly retreating for quite a few times so in the end all his troups had 0 morale and surrendered, and he left only with marshal.

How about conquoring territory after territory then, with only one province left, you offer a truce and the AI says "no"! Okay, I admit that sometimes there is honour in death. But the AI definately overplays this Death before Dishonour tactic.

I was assaulting a town once, it had almost no defenses , they only had 1 troop of peasants and (here's the stupid part) their king (!).
I tought they would really be more protective of him :silly:
and the best part was that i had a spy in that kingdom wich then became the king :go:

I was leading war against the owner of Crete and when I came to the island to take it over I saw that there were already furious fights.
The AI attackers were repelled and fled into a corner of the island. The AI defenders came after them and attacked them in that corner. The AI attackers fled the battle but couldn't move because of the shore, thus a new battle started, the AI attacker fled, a second later the next battle started, and another battle, and another. Each of these battles lead to a happyness bonus in the town. I bsswitched into the owner of that town and the town had a happyness rating of 350%. Now that were some happy townpeople. :go:
And yes, the AI defender marshall and his troops had gathered quite some experience.

The highest happyness i ever see was over 2000% in the province cyprus.. By the way , muslim kingdoms can so update his marshal to the level 18..Sometimes i am assaulting a castle but the outstanding defenders never help the army inside the town. o yeah, the AI have sometimes headache ! So i see four armies of the Ai they standing inside a enemy provinces and the AI need a long time to decide what the troops want to do now..

Something that annoys me regularly is how the AI uses its armies. You can see that well when some AI state hires one of your spies as marhal. He usually won't survive very long because the AI doesn't coordinate its armies. One of them (often enough the one commanded by your marshal) is sent against a very strong enemy city, but while there are other armies nearby that could assist in the attack and/or delay enemy troops that are nearby, they are pointlessly plundering villages while the left-alone attack army gets slaughtered.

Yeah, that's true. Whenever one of my spies get hired on as a Marshal, I have him instigate a revolt and get the heck out of there otherwise I know I'll lose him quickly.
