I suppose that you can build these. What would be nice, though, would be to be able to build high walls and low walls, so that the guys on the inner walls shoot over the heads of the guys on the outer walls. Examples of this are to be found in Caerphilly, Harlech and many other Welsh castles. Please let it be included!

fireball, just out of interest, have you ever played stronghold? These walls were implemented in stronghold crusader i think, they were useful for a quick cheap defence and i found them very useful in multiplayer.

Right now Stronghold and Stronghold:Crusader are my fav games. Can't believe you haven't played them. One thing I love is that the editor is so flexible!

or could you have high towers or high lookouts???
will there be gate breakers or rams or something to break down the smaller walls and gates??

haha they dont move?, in the stronghold editor they all moved and killed eachother....bit annyoing if you wanted to make a map with a battle at the start.
I used to have much fun messing about in the editor though, putting about 100 crossbowmen down and then plonking an enemy soldier right in the middle and watching him get shot by 100 arrows. ahh..sadistic i know.

"The Idea of the high and low walls is great :)"

Blame master James of Savoie, Edward I's chief architect, for it.

Yeaahh, i'd also like to see that, but i'm a bit confused about what the devs mean in this thread (http://forum.sunflowers.de/showthread.php?s=&threadid=189&highlight=high+and+low+walls) - if Frank mean that it's not possible then i'm not able to build myself a castle like this one (http://www.btinternet.com/~timeref/castconc.htm) :(

The cities will have inner and outer walls. Like on your pic. Difference to your pic is that in KoH will be a lot of houses, depending on the development level.

But a castle like the one on the pic would not have the villages built inside ( ie. between the two walls ) - if this castle had a village "attached" to it, it would have been placed outside the walls.

I think that you probably think of castles like the ones Edward 1st. (I, King of England 1272-1307) built in Wales (http://www.btinternet.com/~timeref/carnv1b.htm) - as you probably notice, there is quite a difference between the two castles ( scroll down and follow the link to more pics of the castle )
